Phil Roberts was at Sabkat Al Fasl recently and saw a
few good birds. He managed to see a Western Marsh Harrier in a tree, a very
unusual place for one to be seen. Other good birds were Water Pipits that were
back in good numbers for the winter, Common Kingfisher, Common Chiffchaff, Greater
Spotted Eagle and a male Common Blackbird a rare winter visitor to the Eastern
Province. I would like to thank Phil for sending me the records and photos and for
allowing me to use them on my website.
