More birds of prey in Tabuk – Bird records by Viv Wilson

As posted last week Viv has been seeing a good passage of birds of prey through the Tabuk area in recent weeks. This has continued with good numbers of Steppe Buzzards, Long-legged Buzzards, Montagu’s Harriers, Pallid Harriers and Black Kites still passing through. Viv has managed to take a few good shots of these birds and has sent them to me to use on my website. As also mentioned earlier the numbers of birds of prey in the northwest of the Kingdom, where Tabuk is situated are much higher than those in the Eastern Province where I am based so I am slightly envious off all the birds Viv is seeing there. It would be interesting to know where all these birds of prey are heading and exactly how many are involved as the numbers must be very high as Viv only records them at weekends due to work commitments.
