There has been quite a good
passage of bee-eaters through Dhahran Hills with good numbers of European
Bee-eaters passing through first followed by smaller numbers of Blue-cheeked
Bee-eaters over the last week or so. Other brightly coloured birds include a
number of Yellow Wagtails and a single European Roller by the Swimming Pool.
Wader numbers are also increasing with Black-winged Stilts, Kentish Plovers and
Little Ringed Plovers about in small numbers and a single Indian Reef Heron was
seen on a flooded grass area a couple of days ago.
