Great Cormorants – Dhahran Hills

Here are a few photographs of Great Comorants taken over the winter. They fly in, in the late evening and wash in the pond before alighting in the trees for a nights rest. They depart the pond very early in the morning to go back to their feeding grounds in Taraut Bay. This number is still well down on the incredible numbers of last winter when over 2500 birds used the pond every evening.
