Further to my post on Clamorous Reed Warbler, I thought I would post some pictures of the similar Great Reed Warbler for comparison if needed. This bird is the nominate race Acrocephalus arundinaceus arundinaceus and the photograph was taken on the 3rd May 2011 in the trees surrounding the percolation pond at Dhahran Hills. A number of Great Reed Warblers were seen in the spring with almost all of them in the rough grass of the spray fields and trees and none seen in the reed beds. Clamorous Reed Warbler on the other hand was seen entirely in the reeds and the tress surrounding the percolation pond.
