First Returning Waders

Today 6th July 2011, as yesterday, I saw a good number of waders in Dhahran. Most of the birds were on the settling pond where the below photograph was taken of Black-winged Stilt and Kentish Plover in flight together. The first returning migrant waders were seen today in the form of two Green Sandpiper on the percolation pond with four Black-winged Stilt (two adult and two juvenile - the breeding pair and almost fully grown young).
