01/06/2011 – Dhahran Hills
Today whilst birding the local patch I saw a Common Kestrel which although still able to fly, looked like it had a damaged wing. This is a reminder that birds are still shot in the region, although no one is allowed to shoot in Dhahran Camp where my local patch is.
The only other birds of note were:
Little Tern - 3
Wood Sandpiper - 1 (getting late now for this species)
Black-headed Gull - 1 (fist summer - the first one on the pond for almost a month)
Cattle Egret - 1 (winter visitor)
